WHAT ARE YOU SEEKING?

We are all seeking something. We have needs deep down in our souls. We have dreams and hopes for our future. We set goals to achieve success in our lives. We want to find happiness, so we work harder to accomplish things that we think will bring fulfillment. We want to be loved, so we seek love from people in our lives. We need, so we seek. Jesus asks us what we are seeking because He wants to be our peace, promise, joy and hope. He also yearns to fill our hearts with His love. We were created with the need to be loved. He knows that our hearts are empty without love, so He invites us to seek Him with all of our hearts so that He can give us His eternal love!

What are you seeking? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself this question? Have you asked Jesus to help you with what you need? Have you invited Him into your heart so that He can do something new in you? Jesus is waiting for you to accept His invitation of love and grace. He will not force Himself upon you, but has been waiting patiently for you. Yes, He is waiting just for you. He wants you to come home to Him just as you are. Who are you seeking? Jesus wants you to seek Him! Who are you waiting for? Jesus wants you to wait for Him!

Dear Lord,

I know that You promise to fill the places of my heart with Your love. I have all that I need when I trust in You. There are times when I get caught up in the chaos and busyness of life that I do not allow You to guide me. I pray that I will keep seeking You in all that I do so that You can direct my thoughts and actions. As I read Your question in JOHN 1:38,

“WHAT ARE YOU SEEKING?”,

I will be still and ponder this for myself. As I pray, it is clear that all that I need can be found in You. You are the way, the truth and the life. You will never leave me. You are patient and kind all of the time and Your love never ends. When I seek You, I will find You. I am seeking You, Jesus!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
