DO YOU HAVE SORROW NOW?

We all have experienced sorrow in this world. When someone we love passes from this earth, we feel the deepest sorrow and loneliness as we deal with these feelings deep in our heart and soul. We miss these loved ones so much and wish we could see them again. The good news is that we have been given hope through Jesus that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven one day! The friends of Jesus knew these feelings very well as He departed from this earth to be with the Father. He knew they would be filled with such sorrow and pain, so He left them with hope that they would see Him again. His promise of hope was fulfilled in the person of the Holy Spirit who came to be with each of them forever. He promised that their hearts would rejoice even now when He was gone as He would live inside of them instead of just be right beside them. A new found joy would flood their hearts and give them comfort and security like never before. This same joy is available for us today as we can have the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit living in each of us! But how can we find this joy when we are filled with so much sorrow now?

You have been given a gift from Jesus that you must unwrap to receive. First of all, you must invite Jesus into your whole heart to receive His gift of salvation bought for you by His blood. Jesus has been waiting for you to believe so that you can spend eternity with Him and your loved ones who are with Him today. He also knows your heart and your needs even before you know them. He sees inside your heart and feels your daily struggles. He weeps with you, His precious child. As you let Him in your heart to live, He comforts you now with the presence of a gift you must open. This gift is the Holy Spirit who can be real and alive inside of you. He brings great joy that no one or nothing can take from you! If you want this gift, unwrap and receive all that Jesus has for you by opening your heart and soul to Him and asking for the presence of the Holy Spirit to overshadow your sorrow!

Dear Lord,

You know my sorrow and pain very  well. You see inside my heart like no one else can. As I pray today, I thank You for leaving me with the presence of the Holy Spirit who is alive and active within me! You have given me compete joy, even in the shadow of pain, because I have invited You to live in my whole heart. The gift of the Holy Spirit is powerful and real and overshadows my sorrow with hope. I believe Your Word in JOHN 16:22,

“BUT ALSO YOU HAVE SORROW NOW, BUT I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN, AND YOUR HEARTS WILL REJOICE, AND NO ONE WILL TAKE YOUR JOY FROM YOU.”

Oh how this treasure of truth brings me great joy! I know I will see You someday face to face! And until then, I have unwrapped Your joyful gift of the Holy Spirit who lives in me today!
