Mt. Vernon Cares connects the hands of the people of Mt. Vernon with the hands of youth to help provide nourishment, both physical and spiritual. This is accomplished by providing food vouchers and community mentors to nurture the hearts of the students of Mt. Vernon. Mt. Vernon Cares seeks to be the “Bridge” that links the at-risk 7th – 12th grade students of Mt. Vernon with their community and offers hope.
Real Life Real People is a radio show that answers real life questions of faith and brings the Bible to life through practical applications and true stories. The radio show airs live on Sundays at 9:00 AM CT on local radio (96.9 Star Country). Broadcasts are available on the Star 96.9 app and easttexasradio.com.

Prayer on the Square is a weekly prayer gathering on the downtown square in Mt. Vernon, TX. A group of people from various denominations meet together as one to pray for revival. Several Community prayer events are held locally each year, such as National Day of Prayer, Annual Prayer on the Square, and Youth Led Prayer on the Square.
