In Honor of my Mother

This week is Mother’s Day which is such a special day for mothers all over the world. We honor all of our mothers who carried us in their wombs and held us in their arms. Some are fortunate to be able to hug their mother on this very special day, while others cannot. I am one of those who cannot hug mine. I lost my beautiful mother 3 years ago. She had just retired from work and was ready to live her life and spend more time with family. She had so many plans and dreams for her life to be surrounded by her children and grandchildren, all whom she adored.
She did not get to live out her dreams on this earth. But, my mother, even with all her pain from the cancer inside of her, found perfect peace. She had a peace and a joy in those short months with cancer that she had never experienced in all of her life. She found the peace of Christ as she let Him comfort her. The joy of the Lord became her strength as she fought the good fight of the faith. She encouraged me to keep fighting in faith and to never give up doing what the Lord has put on my heart. I am honoring her with what the Lord has put on my heart, to spread His love through messages of hope.
I will never forget her last words to me that inspire me to keep believing that she is here in spirit with me hugging me in a very special way. She said,” Jill, my dear, I love you so much. I will always be there with you. When you see flowers, birds and butterflies, think of me and know that I am there with you.” Then she said, “Home.” I know that my mother is in heaven with Jesus. She is home. I miss her every day. In honor of my mother on her special day, I am dedicating my new podcasts, JOURNEY WITH JESUS-PRAISES AND POSITIVITY to her. I know she is cheering me on and encouraging me to do what the Lord has put on my heart!

”For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
